What I Do
Every family is unique, so I offer doula services personalised for each birthing experience. Regardless of what you choose, we will dive into your beliefs and expectations around labor and birth. Together, we will explore your physical and emotional strengths and limitations to ensure you’re completely prepared.
From our initial meeting all the way through your pregnancy and delivery, I take the time to get to know you, your concerns and your needs. I’m always available to contact by phone/email/text throughout and will provide everything you require to make sure your experience is as calm and positive as possible.
Prenatal Visits
Informative and Compassionate
First of all, congratulations on your pregnancy.
My package includes two prenatal visits, as well as a free initial consultation.
After beginning our relationship with a meet and greet, as your doula I am committed to your health and the wellbeing of your growing family, available whenever needed throughout your entire pregnancy. I will be there to provide you with continuous emotional and physical support, and answer any and all questions you may have.
Birthing Guidance
Here for You
From 37 weeks until baby is born, I'll be on-call, ready to come to you and support you during labour and birth.
Once baby is with you, I'll stay for a further 1 to 2 hours after birth to help you with skin to skin and breastfeeding. Then I'll leave and give you privacy so you can enjoy those precious moments as new parents with your newborn baby.
Postpartum Support
Offering Support
As a birth doula, I visit you twice after birth.
Once, few days after your baby is born, and a second time around four weeks after birth.
During those visits we come back on your birth experience (while it's still fresh).
I'll make sure you eat and sleep enough and will offer breastfeeding support if you wish to breastfeed.
I'll bring you emotional support as the postpartum period can sometimes be overwhelming.
I'll remain reachable by text/phone/email until our last visit.
